I’ve been working on getting my dog comfortable with the nail grinder. After a couple of weeks of daily treat sessions with the grinder on and off I have been able to have a calm grooming session with him. The grinder does what it is meant to, grinding down the nail allowing you to remove sharp edges or even shorten the nails. It is not too noisy and has nice features such as the guard and light. Wish me luck getting the cat on board!

I am very surprised in how quickly the package arrived! the box was a bit rough, but the inside is perfectly good! I definitely recommend!

We have a large dog who is scared of his shadow. He actually allowed (tolerated) us to grind his nails. The grinder was not loud so that was helpful in keeping him calm. His nails are very thick and difficult to cut, so it we were able to grind and round off his nails. Smoothing his nails also made his run on our hardwood floors more gentle. If you grind them indoors, just put a paper towel under his paw to catch the dust….then just pick up and throw away. Easy.

We use this on our German Shepherd. Because she is a rescue and her nails had never been trimmed, we used clippers to get a bit off first then finished with this nail grinder. The grinder is all we have needed to use since. It is pretty quiet and the light is very helpful. A few treats along the way and she was very willing to let us work on her. It seems to hold a charge well and seems sturdy. Definitely easier than clippers although it takes a little longer, but no worries about going too deep! Glad we got it and I would purchase again.

MUST get your cats a nail grinder grooming machine, as the old machine didn’t work and she didn’t groom the paws. Sadly to say that my wife is scratched by the cat while bathing for the cat. Lessons from the past, we bought the new one and it is suitable for cats and dogs(my neighbor borrow it). Has completed a nice job.

My dog kept scratching my kids when he was playing so we need this to keep those nails in line. It worked perfectly and is very durable as well.

This drimel has great power and is really light weight. Very quality feel. Big plus is comes with an extra diamond grinder. I’m a first time drimel user and it’s really pretty simple. Patients is nessasary to get your little fur baby ust to it and don’t be afraid YOUR NOT HURTING THEM. Just do a little at a time, start by dulling the sharpness of the nail and getting comfortable with how it handles. First time took me around 30 minutes to an hour because of training. Be patient and enjoy the reward of a simple tool that really works!

It was hard for us to trim our dogs nails by the past, now it becomes easier cause they are curious how this little machine works and not makes them freak out!

I received the nail grinder and I have used it. It really didn’t disappoint me. This nail grinder is really light, a small one. I don’t feel tired when I use it. I’ve used it twice. In the past, my dog just ran away as soon as when I show the nail clipper, but this time it didn’t run away! There was no loud noise when I was working. I bought a nail grinder from other bands before. The noise is too loud for my dog. As soon as I turned on the switch, my dog ran away! I am very happy to have this nail grinder as a good helper for my dog grooming

I was elated to find this worked well after trying others that barely did a thing. Just tried it on my two chihuahuas and our cattle dog and all three dogs nails are now much shorter and much smoother. The noise didn’t frighten them either. Our cattle dog didn’t like it and some dogs will need to be introduced to the strange sensation a little more slowly … but your dog being anxious doesn’t mean this product doesn’t do it’s job perfectly. Doing short bursts and rewarding with a treat helps! I’m really happy with this product.

I rescued a new dog and she was terrified of the nail grinder that I used on my Golden Retriever. I did some research and decided to purchase this based on great reviews, cost, and the promise that it was quiet it wouldn’t terrify dogs. When it arrived I charged it and was ready to test it out. Now, it isn’t silent, but it’s very quiet compared to what I was previously using on my dog (which sounded like an industrial belt sander). My girl was a little nervous at first bc she sensed I was about to do something to her paws. I turned it on and she cocked her head to the side and gently leaned it to give it a good sniff. When I touched her nail she scrambled to get away but after having my friend hold her, give her pets and treats I was able to successfully grind ALL her nails with no problem. I’ve since used the grinder with no issues all by myself. My sweet girl was only a little concerned the first time, but after she realized there was no harm and she got LOTS of love, belly rubs and treats afterwards she was totally on board for her Paw-dicures. I would definitely recommend and I’m very happy I took a chance on purchasing this product.

We used to use a dremel and this product is much easier to use. 1st off it’s cordless which is very convenient and the wheel grinds better than the sandpaper lined dremel tips. The durability seems great and is very easy to hold and maneuver. I would highly recommend this for smoothing down your dog’s nails.

I am new to using a nail grinder, but I found this nail grinder to be quite easy to use. I have used it on my puppy three times – she is small (20 lbs.) and very anxious – so I have only used the low speed setting. I only trim one paw at a time – only spending a few seconds on each nail. I found it easier to remove the guard protector because the noise that my dog’s nail made when it came in contact with it was making my dog even more anxious. With that said – I am especially careful to only grind for a second or two at a time (according to the easy to follow instructions that were enclosed). The motor is on the quiet side, but definitely makes noise.

A very cool thing-it does not really work noisy, the claw is inserted into the compartment-even if it turns, nobody gets hurt. And signs very clearly and well! Very happy with the purchase

I’ve always been a little afraid of trimming my dogs nails for fear of cutting too short. I have 2 small dogs and their nails grow fast, so I finally decided it was time to learn because paying to have them trimmed so frequently was too expensive. This grinder came with information on how to trim the nail which made me feel more confident. The grinder worked great and it was my first time using it. I was able to use by myself without having someone else hold my dogs. Both of my dogs did really well with the grinder. I allowed them to get adjusted to the sound first and rewarded them with treats throughout the process. The wiggled a bit at times, but overall stayed still and allowed me to trim. I love how quiet the grinder is. Highly recommend!

I wanted to wait a bit before I posted my review. I have 3 dogs, and I wanted to try it on all of them at least once. I have 2 small yorkie dogs and then a large pit bull. The two smaller dogs were pretty easy to manage, their nails fit in the slot pretty good, and they were not really freaked out by the noise of the grinder. It scared them at first, but they were good after that. My big pit was a bit different. He’s never had his nails worked on before, I should say first of all. At first he got very freaked out, but that was mainly by the grinding feel, not anything to do with the device. His nails are huge, so didn’t fit in there so much at first, but after a few minutes, they were fine. The noise was a bit loud for him, but other than that, the grinder did what it was supposed to do. Since it was his first time, I didn’t want to spend a long amount of time on him, thought I would ease him into it. But the grinder seems to work well, and I hope it stands up to the test of time.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt this one warranted one! I have a 6 year old mini dachshund and trimming nails has always been rough!! Screaming and biting (from the dog). I’ve tried other nail grinders and she was terrified of them. I came across this one and thought I’d give it a try. It took only 5 minutes to do ALL FOUR paws! She held perfectly still and didn’t fight me a single bit!! She even wagged her tail when we were done!! Hallelujah I think we found the tool for us!!!

Wow!!! I have had 3 dog nail grinders in the past. This one beats all of them by far!! It it very quiet on both settings, which is great, especially for skittish pups. It is sooo fast! I have 3 dogs and it would take several minutes per dog, about 30 minutes total. Not with this one. All 3 were done in less than 10 and they were much shorter and looked better than when using the other grinders. It also didn’t get nearly as hot as the other ones do. I am very impressed. The packaging is nice. It has everything you need. I would definitely recommend this grinder to any dog owners!

I have dachshunds with monster nails. my older grinder stopped working so I just received this today and trimmed 2 of my dogs and I am empressed with this, it worked fast and with the different angles it was easier to get to the nails while they sat down. I gave it 4 stars because I don’t know how this will hold up but it seems to be a sturdy well built item.

This is the second nail grinder I purchased for use with my 7 pound maltipoo. The first one we purchased was too loud and after several tries, I gave up on it. THIS ONE, however, is much quieter PLUS it gave helpful hints to get pets accustomed to having their nails done. I tried it as suggested; with a handful of treats on the counter right next to the grinder, which was turned on. After a few minutes of feeding her treats next to the grinder, I simply picked up her paw and began using it on her nails. She turned her head away a bit, but kept on eating her treats while I was filing her nails!

I bought this to use on my rescue dogs feet. I turned on the grinder and let them get used to the hum it makes and let them smell of it. Within a few minutes their nails were done

Starting with a 4-star rating since I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but I’m already incredibly impressed. I was expecting this to be a MUCH louder little tool, but it’s very quiet! I have 2 super anxious small dogs… One who begrudgingly lets me trim his nails, and the other who won’t even let me get the clippers near her! After lots of research and review-reading, I decided on this nail grinder. I am going to follow the instructions and let them both warm up to the sound/look of it before trying it on their nails, but I have very high hopes! I tried it on my own nail when I first got it just so I could test out the “feeling” of it, and I wasn’t disappointed.

This grinder was quick and easy to use on my 3-month-old puppy. While she’s still fairly young and new to/scared of most things, she didn’t seem to be bothered at all during the filing. I used the slower setting with the bigger filing top and it was very quiet. I love the fact that it’s larger and extremely easy to hold, no slippage whatsoever! I actually clipped her nails prior to using this, but soon realized the grinder is so efficient that I can eliminate that step in the future! Her nails came out perfectly rounded with no sharp edges. Afterwards, she happily ran around the yard for hours while my husband finished building the fence, then promptly passed out for a nap once inside. She’s happy, I’m happy, outstanding product! It’s definitely a time saver and easier to maneuver than clippers. Instructions were easy to follow.

I have 2 large dogs that do not even liked their paws touched by our hands let alone trimmers. I can’t even open the drawer we keep the trimmers in without them getting spooked. I have to constantly change their place. I got this grinder to try something new. This grinder is easy to hold and quiet to use. It had a charge to start with & probably could have been used right out of the box, but I waited and fully charged it before using it. Plus, I’m still in the “dogs getting used to the noise phase”. It’s quiet enough that they don’t mind the grinder at all (haven’t used it yet, just turned it on for them to get used to it). Feeling very hopeful!

My dog hates having her nails trimmed but she doesn’t mind this at all. I trimmed her nails fairly short with a regular clippers to begin with and I now use this weekly to keep them short. A little desensitization training at first is helpful. I started by just turning it on and then giving her a treat. After doing this a few times, I tried it on her nails-just one foot at a time and then I would give her a break. I did all 4 feet by the end of the day this way. She really just didn’t pay any attention to it at all. Now I can do all 4 feet at the same time and she just lays there. It works best on high. I do think it would be difficult to start with long nails and trim them short with this, but it is great used regularly to keep them short once you have trimmed them short with a traditional trimmer.

The grinder is of the best of its class, but the entire class still has room for improvement. A less aggressive abrasive wheel, combined with a more finely-balanced, or more vibration-isolating structure would be another leap forward in product improvement, thus the 4 stars instead of 5. Note: I wouldn’t give a 5 to any other similar product. Getting a 4 from me is high praise. 5 is reserved for faultlessness.

This is an excellent nail grinder! The price was very reasonable when I was first looking for one and this is nice and compact looking and lightweight. My boxer is a nut about her nails no matter who or what is used. With this, I was able to grind them down fairly quickly and easily without worrying so much about how far I’m clipping of her nail.

I LOVE this device! No batteries and rechargeable like my phone! It’s very compact. The dew claws are so much easier to grind! I cannot say enough about this product! It grinds those nails down in record time compared to my last nail grinder. Very pleased and with 7 dogs to trim, I highly recommend!

This is a well made product, very sturdy and heavy. It takes a while for my dogs to get used to it, but probably because they do not like having their nails trimmed. My only issue is how small the area is that you have to put their nails in. I have a hard time positioning both myself and the dog’s nail in the right direction/position to get right into the space required on the grinder. I have a large Labrador and a medium mixed breed. My dogs get more irritated at me trying to position their paw correctly, than by the grinding itself.

Very quiet! Quieter than my electric razor. I’ve only used this once so far. I was able to grind my golden doodle’s nails including his dew claws. The noise didn’t bother him, but I have to hold him still so I can grind carefully and not get his hair caught in the wheel. You can remove the guard which I felt was easier to maneuver. I has some issues grinding the top of his nails since it spins counter clockwise and I’m right handed. My dog’s nail seemed to bounce off and click against the wheel which he didn’t like, but I found switching hands worked. I suggest you play with the angle and how hard you apply pressure. It can take off a lot quickly so go slow at first. I tried the guard but his paw hairs kept getting in the way. If they had a guard that only had one side open that would help me get under and around his paw hairs easier.

I have had a difficult time trimming our little dog’s long nails. After making two nails bleed using nail clippers, I decided to try this way. My husband has to help hold the dog. Twice I have gotten her hair around the nails caught in this grinder. It seems to be uncomfortable for her if the grinder is left too long in one spot…probably due to heat on the nail. There is quite a vibration to it. I really need to use both nail cutters first and then sand it lightly with this electric grinder after. To make this experience work, I give her lots of treats a long the way and break it up into a couple of days if need be. I am glad I did get a nail grinder.

I don’t usually write reviews for products, but this grinder has changed my dog nail care profoundly. It is quiet and easy to hold. I have an older dog and a puppy, both with black nails, so clipping is a little scary for me and for them.I now feel safe and confident grinding both dogs’ nails. I only wish I hadn’t waited so long to buy this!
